About People & Profiles
Every vessel has someone at the helm. This part of the chart is for the people behind the work: founders who want a public profile, makers with a personal site, creatives showing a body of work, and anyone who points visitors to a single page of links. Each entry is a person or a personal brand rather than a product with a price list.
Browse the four subcategories below, or stay on this page to see everything in the section at once. Filters help you narrow the view, and listings appear newest first unless you sort by community votes, which can never be bought. If you are adding your own entry, submit at /submit: paste your website address, let the AI draft the profile from that site, then check and edit every field before anything goes live. Your listing gets one main category, included free, so choose the one that best describes what visitors will find on arrival.

People & Profiles: questions answered
- What belongs in People & Profiles?
- Listings where the person or personal brand is the subject: founder profiles, personal websites, portfolios and link pages. If the site mainly sells a product or service to customers, it usually fits better in a product or business category instead.
- How do I choose between a portfolio and a personal website?
- Pick portfolio when the site's main job is to show finished work to hire or commission you. Pick personal website when it is broader: your writing, background, projects and contact details together. Choose the one a visitor would expect on arrival.
- Can my listing appear in more than one subcategory?
- Each listing has one main category, included free and chosen when you submit. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5, so a site that straddles two areas can be found in both.
- How are listings ordered on this page?
- Newest listings come first by default. Visitors can switch to sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought, so the vote order reflects what visitors have chosen to back rather than anything a founder has paid for.
- What should I check when comparing profile pages?
- Look for a clear statement of who the person is and what they do, current and easy-to-find contact routes, and work or links that are plainly the owner's own. A page that loads quickly and reads well on a phone is also worth noting.
