A French learning platform for absolute beginners using comprehensible input videos with an integrated memory system that automatically revisits words before
Pilot's notes

The French Corner teaches French to absolute beginners through slow, visual videos you can follow from your very first lesson. Videos are set in illustrated worlds with a real guide who performs all the content and teaches using comprehensible input—exposing learners to understandable French that builds naturally without translation or grammar rules.
The platform integrates a memory system that tracks every word you encounter and brings it back right before you would forget it, eliminating the need for separate flashcard apps. An interactive transcript lets you replay sentences, tap words for translations or grammar notes, and save vocabulary to your personal deck. All features work within the video player, keeping learning focused and friction-free.
New accounts are currently on hold while the platform is being rebuilt and the pricing model is reworked. Free videos remain available to watch without an account, and when the platform relaunches, it will shift from subscriptions to a single one-time purchase model.

Questions at the helm
- Do I need any French to start?
- No. The entire platform is built for true beginners to follow from zero. You understand almost everything using the scene and gestures rather than translation, with French coming along naturally.
- How is this different from Duolingo or Babbel?
- Unlike those platforms that teach grammar rules and points systems, The French Corner has you watch comprehensible French inside an enjoyable world with a real guide on screen, while the platform quietly remembers your words for you with no pressure or rankings.
- What does the interactive transcript do?
- You can tap any word to hear it again or tap plus to save it to your deck. You read along, look words up, and collect the ones you want without needing a dictionary open in another tab.
- Can I sign up right now?
- Not at the moment. The platform is being rebuilt and the pricing model is being reworked, so new accounts and payments are on hold. However, a good number of videos remain free to watch without an account.
- Why is this different from just building a daily habit?
- A habit alone doesn't help if nothing captures what you learn. Here you watch French you can understand, and every word comes back on its own right before it fades, so learning hours add up instead of disappearing.
